Growth Mindset Plan

While putting together this growth mindset lesson plan for my colleagues, I found that I was not only the instructor but also one of the learners. One of the ways in which I became a learner was in how I faced challenges and setbacks while preparing this assignment. There were times when I had difficulty deciding how to approach this first assignment, wondered if I was doing graduate level work, and expressed concerns about whether or not my presentation is clear and complete. However, I did not allow these thoughts to linger. Instead, I asked myself “What would be the growth mindset approach to these issues?”. I then reminded myself that this is my first assignment in a graduate level course, therefore, I should not be too hard on myself. It is still a learning process and something I need to get used to. So, I will simply do the best that I can on this assignment, turn it in, and wait for feedback. Once I receive feedback, I will use these critiques and suggestions to help me improve my performance in this course and in future coursework. I will also use this experience to keep me motivated, inspired, and resilient as I go through the Digital Learning and Leading program.
